Where do I start?

Central Christian Church in Portales is not a place for spectators. It is a place for team members. Whether you are a five-year old child, a ninety-five year old grandmother, a busy mom, or a businessman with big responsibilities, we want you to be a part of our vibrant church community. Here is how you can learn, serve, and grow at Central.

Children’s Ministry

Kid Zone — Each weekend (10:30 SUN morning), children get to participate in their own classes. Bible lessons are taught in such a way that every child gets to participate and learn. Each of the class teachers is carefully screened and thoroughly trained in children’s instruction.

Youth Ministry

AMP, the youth group of Central Christian Church, has several incredible events throughout the year (summer church camp – and much more) including a standing Sunday night meeting at 5:00pm for Middle School students and 7:00pm for High School students at the Christian Campus House, located on the campus of Eastern New Mexico University.

Spectrum

Life can get complicated once you cross that nebulous threshold into adulthood. There are complicated decisions. Bigger stakes. Serious relationships. And a whole lot more decisions.  Central Christian provides a welcoming atmosphere for college and early-career aged young people.  The people in this age group are encouraged to become involved in the Christian Campus House program, led by Wes Weems.  SPECTRUM meets Tuesdays during the school year at 8pm.  We would love to see you there!

Women’s Group

Central Christian’s Women’s Groups gives the ladies in our church family special times of interaction. Our women’s groups, located in several locations throughout our community, are times of Bible study, prayer (and, of course, food). These groups provide a refreshing discipleship opportunity for the women in the church.

There are so many other things going on at Central and we encourage you to get plugged in!

We are Central… and we’re in this together!”
